Final Blog post

I cannot believe that this is already my last blog post already :(. Time really do flies fast.

I am not so good with technology, I never ever thought that I could create a GIF myself, not even mention to an entire website like this. To be honest, CT 101 class to me was really really fun and this is the most relaxing class I have ever had inΒ  my entire school life. I am not saying this because I am writing this post for CT101 but I promise it’s all true. I even tell all my close friends that I had the best teacher ever and send them Professor Ryan’s Instagram page and some of them have already followed him :).

When I first created my website, the problem I had (to me) is that what should I upload on my own website? I only posted some works that we made together in CT101 class on that website but then I feel kind of boring with only those post. (I DO NOT mean those works in CT101 are boring, but my point is everybody has the same works as we all did together in class, so if I only post this to my blog, there’s nothing special that can highlight about me and my own blog.)

So, I decided to start posting things around me, things that make me happy, and things

One of my favorite blog post is this post. I love to share my experiences of where I had been to, food that I tried and interesting things that I want to share with others.

I really enjoyed this class since IT’S NO STRESS AT ALL, and I am enjoy posting things on my blog just like a regular things that I do daily, but not treating it as I am doing my homework or so. Because of that this blog is like my “baby” that I am treating it nicely everyday. I think I will keep maintain this blog after this class since I am already spent so many “love” to it already.

I think with CT101, I earned an A (if I got to grade myself πŸ™‚ ). since I am enjoying this class and never once treating it as I am doing my homework but as I am learning a new cool skill and sharing my lifestyle.

Summer is coming and let’s stop for a little bit and enjoy our lovely summer πŸ™‚

This music video is my favorite recently that I am keep listening these days. Hope you guys also have fun listen to it.

I have been to LA several times and each times it sill “woah” me by pretty much everything there. The weather, the food, the vibe that California brought me.

American sitcom

Move on to the next hobby of mine : I love to watch movies, TV shows, sitcom. English is not my first language so when I was learning English, I really enjoy watching American sitcom to improve my English

There are a lot of sitcom and each of them has it own style. However, there are still some of my favorite sitcom like Friends, How I met your mother, Fresh of the boat, etc

For instance, when I first watch Friends, there were a lot of jokes, dialogue that I could not understand. It was really difficult for me at first watching it without subtitles since I am an English learner so at the beginning it was quite bored to me.

But then since I am keep watching it again and again and practice to listen to their accent and get use with it.

I turned myself into a sitcom-holic since … I dont even know when, but there’s one thing I know for sure is that thanks to sitcom, my English has improved a lot. I know that there’s not only me but others foreigners also learn English through sitcom as well.

Sitcom also a kind of relax activity, when you can just sit down and chill. It’s also can be a good start for any topic. Just say if you go to a party and do not know anyone or anything in common, you can start with sitcom, since most American know and have one favorite sitcom

The Smithsonian President Museum Portrait

Smithsonian is well known as a “series” of museum located in Washington DC. There are different kind of museum from Smithsonian and I have been to several museums in Smithsonian but there’s one particular that make me feel really interesting to go there.

That’s museum is The Smithsonian American Art Museum, the special thing is on their second floor, they have portrait of all former American President. To me, it’s not like regular portrait, the detail in each portrait is very clear and it took a lot of time to make those.

These are some of the portrait that I want to share during my visit that inspire me the most

These are all really detail and one last but not least my most favorite portrait during my visit

So if you have time visiting Washington DC, let’s make a trip to visit one of The Smithsonian museum. It will definitely surprise you as it did to me πŸ™‚

Night market in Taiwan :)

Another hobby of me is traveling. I know to compare to another travel blogger, number of countries that I have been is nothing compare to them but I still got really excited when I get to visit a new country.

In this blog post, I will share about my trip to Taiwan and visit Taiwan’s most famous night market.

First thing that makes it cool isΒ  that everything here is just so so cheap and you can get a big portion with just $2-$3 if equal to US dollar.

First thing first.Β  I am a fan of milk tea so can not say no to those beauty especially milk tea from Taiwan – the original country where milk tea “was born”

Try out different milk tea brand is my most favorite activity πŸ™‚

Little quail eggs with special sauce. I ate at least 5 of these sticks and still not enough (but gotta save the belly to try another thing :).

There were a long long super long line to try this special salmon fresh from the ocean and big as a size of my hand πŸ™‚

How can you say no to these beauty πŸ™

Night market to me is a really fun place to go whenever I go to any Asian country but especially in Taiwan, this place is just the best since it has so many different options to chose to visit, to eat and to experience πŸ™‚

First, you may notice that my blog is mostly covered with posts about food and you should not check it out while you are hungry πŸ™ (sorry πŸ™ ), but food are actually things that i really interested in.

So, here you go :). Another blog post about fooddddd

If you are a fan of Japanese food, sushi or sashimi is the most famous food when talk about Japanese cuisine. I am personally a fan of sashimi so whenever I have a chance (and of course, money – which I don’t normally have so much..), me and my best mate will check out some new omakase restaurants in NYC!

Wait, in case you are still confusing of what OMAKASE is, then here it is

Omakase is a Japanese phrase that means “I’ll leave it up to you” . When I look it up online, it says “The Japanese antonym for “omakase” is “okonomi,” which means you are choosing what to order. The chef will generally present a series of plates, beginning with the lightest fare and proceeding to the heaviest dishes. The phrase is not exclusive to service of raw fish with rice, and can incorporate grilling, simmering, or other cooking techniques as well. In American English, the expression is used by patrons at sushi restaurants to leave the selection to the chef, as opposed to ordering Γ  la carte.”

This is an example of an omakase course that I had few months ago. I did not know what I will have and just patiently waiting for the chef to surprise us.

One omakase couse normally have 12-18 pieces of sushi/sashimi and normally last from 30 minutes to one and a half hour. There are very strict about timing in omakase since you all depends on the chef on what you having.

You can have the fresh fish straight from Japan, or shrimp

or oyster πŸ™‚

and my all time favorite UNI ^___^

Omakase is pretty pricey, since the quality of the food you have is nothing to complain about. It’s of course will be too high my budget so I did not get to it it much often, but it will definitely my most favorite meal of all time πŸ™‚

Xiao Long Bao

Xiao Long Bao, according to Wikipedia, “is a type of Chinese steamed bun (baozi) from the Jiangnan region, especially associated with Shanghai and Wuxi. Xiaolongbao is often referred to as a kind of “dumpling”, but should not be confused with British or American-style dumplings, nor with Chinese jiaozi.”

The special thing about xiaolongbao that make them different with other style of “dumpling” is that they have soup inside. They are also called a “soup dumpling” because they are filled with hot soup and must be eaten carefully.

For me, the best place to eat Xiaolongbao in America is in a restaurant called “Din Tai Fung” but sadly they are only open in West Coast like California or Seattle.

This is your view while waiting outside of Din Tai Fung. The line is always long and they do not take reservation in advance :(. However, instead of waiting around boring, you can take a look of how Xiaolongbao are actually being made.

Once you get to sit down and actually taste it, it will definitely worth the wait. These pictures are all taken by me and my sister during our visit to Din Tai Fung.

The taste are just so different compare to other dumplings you ever had. I guarantee!

So, if you have a chance to go to the West Coast, remember to check it out :).
